Bad Handwriting * Our nephew was getting married to a doctor’s daughter. At the wedding reception, the father of the bride stood to read his toast, which he had scribbled on a piece of scrap paper. Several times during his speech, he halted, overcome with what I assumed was a moment of deep emotion. But after a particularly long pause, he explained, "I’m sorry. I can’t seem to make out what I’ve written down." Looking out into the audience, he asked, "Is there a pharmacist in the house?" * https://www.rd.com/joke/chicken-scratch-joke-2/
Hundreds of thousands of Rohingya men, women, and children have suffered under a systematic campaign of mass shootings, rapes, house burnings, and beheadings. Myanmar (Burma) produces over 95% of the world’s rubies and quality jade. The military controls every gem mine, and gem auction while the government profits handsomely. Cartier, for one buys and sells Burmese gems. Tiffany & Co. has maintained its boycott. If you are planning on buying jewels this season ask before you buy. Buy only conflict free gems. Do not support this bloody regime.

Spanish Computer ! A Spanish language teacher was explaining to her class that in Spanish, unlike English, nouns are designated as either masculine or feminine. "House" for instance, is feminine: "la casa."....... "Pencil," however, is masculine: "el lapiz."....... A student asked, "What gender is 'Computer'?"....... Instead of giving the answer, the teacher divided the class into two groups, Male and Female, and asked them to decide for themselves whether "Computer" should be a masculine or a feminine noun. Each group was asked to give four reasons for its recommendation. The men's group decided that "Computer" should definitely be of the feminine gender ("la computadora"), because: 1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic;....... 2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else;....... 3. Even the smallest mistakes are stored in long term memory for possible later retrieval; and....... 4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your paycheck to buy accessories for it........ **************** The women's group, however, concluded that computers should be masculine ("el computador"), because: 1. In order to do anything with them, you have to turn them on;....... 2. They have a lot of data but still can't think for themselves;....... 3. They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time they ARE the problem; and....... 4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you had waited a little longer, you could have gotten a better model........ The women won. lol

Remember when it was polite to address a crowd as “ladies and gentlemen?” Now it is considered a "non-inclusive" phrase. I'm getting a little tired of this ridiculousness.

Do you fear being "replaced"?
I was wrong. I just checked out the new site for Trumpcare and it is great. No pre-existing conditions, affordable rates and you can selected from many private insurers. I should have been onboard all along. Please check it out. My hat is off to President Trump. Good work!
