The song "Thrift Shop" is actually quite ironic considering the two rappers are singing about how they only have 20 dollars in their pocket and can only afford buying clothes from a thrift shop or stealing them, when in fact they're making shitloads of money everyday and can afford buying the whole store. Amirite?
Hip-hop/Rap is outrageously diverse seeing as songs can be from celebrating Christmas on Hollis Ave. Queens, New York, no longer being a "90's kid" and holding onto old times, raping and killing someone for not going out with you, spending bundles of money on strippers, words you could say that aren't swag, criticizing the flaws in our current society, not wearing brand name clothing or having the style of someone from Gangnam, South Korea, amirite?
One of my pet peeves still has to do with answering machines. I simply don't like to use them. Playing telephone tag with people who could just pick up the phone and answer a simple question is not my idea of common courtesy. Even worse is having a machine automatically call you just to see if you're home so they can call again in a few minutes and save themselves a bit of time.
