Some might say that the bird could grip it by the husk, but I say that it's not a matter of where he grips it-it's a matter of weight ratio.

At my old school, we finally got so fed up with this that we asked our P.E. teachers to run with us on Cardio Day, thinking they wouldn't be able to do it.
They finished in about half of the time as anyone else.

I can respect a teacher that can do the work just as well as, or better than, any of the students. What bothers me is when you have an instructor/coach who can't do the work. For example, I once had a swim coach (at my high school) who couldn't swim. He just stood by the pool and told us what stroke he thought we should do next :P

Wow, that's so funny! Bailey had a funny way of describing each President. He described President Harrison as an "amiable ****." There are even facebook groups about it! Some quotes:

To say that America, with some French aid, defeated Britain is like saying, "Daddy and I killed the bear"

"Babies went unborn as pinched budgets and sagging self-esteem wrought a sexual depression in American bedrooms"

"Tickle the soil with a hoe, and it will laugh a harvest."

For the first time in my life, I kind of want to read a History textbook. Weird.

Don't know if you're familiar, but I thought Thomas Bailey was pretty funny. He's a historian who wrote my A.P U.S. History textbook.

I was actually thinking about the writer of my Psychology textbook junior year of HS. He mentioned "Psychoceramics (the study of crackpots)" on one page and then on the next page explained that that page was actually written on April Fool's Day and, sadly, psychoceramics does not exist.

True-I don't like them, but apparently Ron and Harry do, so I'm not sure what to think :/

"If I had a horcrux, I would drop it at the bottom of the ocean. Or I would put it in a pyramid with King Tut and all of his jewels. Or I would blast it into space with a monkey who knew nothing about horcruxes.” -Ron Weasley, AVPM

Castle is really funny, but it's made even better by the fact that Nathan occasionally throws in a Firefly reference. I still miss Firefly though
