According to my 10th Edition Merriam Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, it's a word:

Also, every word was technically "made up" at some point. That's just how language evolves. We use words to communicate ideas, and in this instance, the term "homophobe" communicates the idea of someone who discriminates against or has some sort of fear or aversion to homosexuality.

-It is illegal to be gay in over 70 different countries
-Those who identify as LGBT are 2 to 3 times more likely to experience bullying in school
- A 1998 study by Mental Health America found that students heard anti-gay slurs such as “homo”, “****” and “sissy” about 26 times a day on average, or once every 14 minutes.
-In 28 states, it is legal to fire an employee for the sole reason that they're gay.
-Thousands of homosexual teens are kicked out or disowned in some other way by their families.

Anyone who believes that it's okay that homosexuality is illegal in some places, partakes in bullying LGBT youth, consistently uses gay slurs, fires someone for being gay, or disowns their own kid for being a homosexual is, in fact, discriminating against homosexuality. There's no denying that these people exist. This is why we have terms such as "homophobe," "homophobic," and "homophobia," to describe these people who display these attitudes. So no, "homophobe" is not just "some made up words by liberals" but is a very real word that accurately describes the people who hold bigoted and intolerant views regarding homosexuality.

You know what I just realised? Women aren't locks and men aren't keys. We're all human beings with complex emotions and sexualities and no-one should have the right to decide who can enjoy having more than one sexual partner and who can't based on their gender. If a woman wants to have ** with multiple partners without getting into relationships with them and she practices safe ** then why can't she? What right does anyone, male or female, have to look down on her? Stop acting like there's one rule for men and one for women, we aren't living in the 50s anymore.

Is it really so difficult to understand why an act of terrorism committed in somebody's home country makes more of an impact than a tragedy which takes place half a world away? No shit people are freaking out in America, it happened in their home. Are they supposed to be aware of every casualty which takes place thousands of miles away? Not to mention that Iraq is a hot zone which was recently ravaged by war. You mean people are dying over there? Well that sure is news.

Nope stop nope, human attraction is not like a job interview. It does not matter how many qualifications you have, if the person in question does not want to date you then that is that, and they're not "wrong" for feeling that way. Of course relationships aren't going to run smoothly 100% of the time, but that doesn't mean that the "hired" one was a huge mistake just because they complain about them a couple times like Jesus Christ get over yourselves these posts make me so mad I feel like I'm about to turn into a dragon and destroy a small village. If friendship is that much of a crappy consolation prize to you then tell them that, or at least tell them that it makes you feel bad when they discuss their relationship problems with you.

In response to “

The little bits of shit represent life's obstacles, and how they always mix in with the joy that is life. Rather than being two separate entities, they are a package deal.

It conveys the message that without life's hardships, there can be no full enjoyment of life's benefits. The narrator of the poem has come to terms with this to such a degree that he is grateful to the shit for being there to make him realize how much there is that he could let it ruin for him, but for that very reason gets past it, and enjoys the **** nonetheless.

Thank you, I would have gotten none of this had that not rhymed

Yeah, just read the story. No sympathy at all.

She needed better decision-making skills, or to grow some thicker skin. Honestly, that shit is pretty much on par with the bullying I dealt with growing up. Here I am, today; not giving a single ****.

Oh please drop the "holier-than-thou" attitude. You are not Amanda Todd, and Amanda Todd is not you. You have no idea how YOU would've reacted if you had grown up in the same home as her, and experienced the same problems. People have different perspectives of the world based on their experiences as a child (did you know that personality is developed in the first five years of life? There's some knowledge on psychology, which you would do well to learn more about). You cannot compare yourself to Amanda Todd and act like you're better, because you don't know what it was like inside HER head. Not every human being is programmed the same. It sickens me how people think they understand others so well. She needed better decision-making skills? Is it her fault she didn't have them? Blame her parents for that, then. The fact that she didn't have thicker skin should be a source of sympathy, instead you're saying, "Gosh, she should be like ME. I'm so much better." God, you people are ridiculous.

**-shaming is idiotic. Skirt lengths don't make . Complain about her crotch showing, but don't insinuate the girl's a **. Come on.

Yeah, I learned my lesson that time when I asked someone for a smoke and they gave me a weasel and I tried to smoke it and it turned out it was a weasel with weasel disease and so now I'm a weasel.

It's sad to think that'll there will be a last of everything when you die. Like your last genuine smile, last hug, etc.
