That's what the dating process is though, right? When a relationship doesn't work out, you learn more about yourself and what you want from a relationship in the process. Repeating the good things and avoiding the bad

Or they could go imperial. Just take over Canada, steal all her resources and regain the former glory the old fashioned way. Really no one in Europe or Asia would give a **** if the US did that.

Take over Canada haha. They'd run headlong over the fiscal cliff, default all their debts and go into an economic implosion before they crossed the Canadian border. No country would have the resources to save them then.

Exactly, which is the point of the post. I don't think people should do thing they know they'll regret (intentional mistakes), regardless of peer pressure and what not. Sure, they might learn something, but there are lessons everywhere in life, not only in intentional mistakes.

? its so much more logical in Celsius.0 is the freezing point for water and 100 means boiling. Fahrenheit is so complicated for nothing. If you want more accurate you should switch to degrees kelvin

Another point: it's not degrees Kelvin (°K), it's just Kelvin (K). Sorry, it was bugging me lol

This is true but it also tells more about you depending on whether you do it or not. It can also be contextual. You may know its wrong but you could be influenced into doing it (peer pressure) or it could be a situation where that may be a better option, even though it is still regretful. Also, while doing said thing, whatever it may be, you could learn other things not directly related to what it is that you're doing.

Agreed. I've been fascinated since the Resident Evil series.

I'd love to test my ability to survive in such an apocalypse.

I'm not talking about doing something you think is right and later realizing it was a mistake. I'm talking about doing things you know you will come to regret.

But doing things you know you'll regret is also a mistake. Hopefully one that will be learned from. If you do learn from that failure, you'll eventually succeed somewhere else because of what was learned.

Improper spelling may not make the opinion completely invalid but it definitely can make it lose some validity. Typos happen and that should be taken into consideration but when "peeps start talkin lyke dis," it kind of puts their education and mental capacity into question. Not to mention it drives some people (like me) up the wall when they see someone typing like that.

Life is about making mistakes. I had a prof that said she wishes everyone a lot of failure in life because success comes with failure and succeeding will be that much greater if failure is involved.

Well it's not totally pointless. It tends to help with the bully's insecurity problems. Still is mean though.

I find its not a matter of how high it's held in society, people are still overlooking the fact that soldiers gave their lives for our freedom in multiple countries, in order to make money or look fancy. We have to remember that we wouldn't be able to do that if it weren't for those soldiers. It's not about making it a big thing, it's about doing them justice by waiting an extra day or week before starting to promote other holidays.

You must be Canadian. Canada has always seen Remembrance Day as very important. The most of the rest of the world is not raised to respect it as much as us.

Ya know, most parents want their kids to have better lives than they did...

Bitching about progress is not a good thing. I'll bet your great-great-great-great-great......great grandfather isn't pissed that you don't have to run from prehistoric elephants, deal with tribe wars and search far and wide for a little fruit to eat.

I'm an avid dubstep/EDM fan and I find it extremely irritating when people say that dubstep is just random sounds and its crap. They don't pay attention to details and rate it for just the independant sounds they hear. "Sounds like a dial-up modem" really grinds my gears. There is quite a musical complexity that goes into EDM that some people don't pay attention to or appreciate.
