It makes you a little happy when you read the just ins then a couple days later you see those posts on the home page.. you just wanna be like "hey I knew that post before it became popular!" Even if the post pretends to not know you you're happy they succeeded!

Saying "there's other fish in the sea" to somebody who is broken up is ineffective because it was the distinct features of the person they miss. It's somewhat allegorical (though not as extreme) as telling somebody whose child died "you can always have another child".
