In maths tests, the scenarios need to be more useful and common situations, to prove to demotivated people that all those complicated questions actually have some purpose in life. For instance, scrapping "Matt is trying to calculate the surface area of a slice of pepperoni" or something as stupid and replacing it with "Matt is trying to set up a successful pizza restaurant by properly distributing costs" will make people do better in their exams, amirite?
