We may disagree on that issue, but I hope you don't take it too personally. I just want to let you know that I know I sound like I do...and I might a bit actually, but more importantly I'm just engaging in the discussion. I'm known for being a bit unyielding with ANY discussion, regardless of content. But there are some things that I just get rather fervent about. I DO resent the word "whiney" employed by you. I'm anything by whiney. Living in a foreign country by yourself for 7 years will knock all the "whine" out of a person. When you've had to look after yourself, put yourself through uni and talk your way out of Chinese prison twice, you learn that whining gets you nowhere. Anyway, like I said, no hard feelings.

I'm sorry that you were in that situation,man. I know how you feel, it was just like my situation. I refuse to let myself ever get that down on myself and those around me. I am glad I am not the only one. What experimental anti-depression drugs did you take? I was on some too and it was horrible. I hope it wasn't as bad for you

I'd be lying if I said that I thought I wasn't different from my peers, but I'd also be lying if I said that I was completely different from my peers. I'm somewhere in the middle, I guess. I have no clue. But I'm certainly not down to Earth, I'll tell you that.

If you're as cynical and brutally honest as I, we ought to talk more. I like having people around who remind me there's hope for the world.
