What is this winter you speak of? Just kidding, even though this past year I swear Texas just decided to skip it. It stated getting cool outside, but it never got cold. It snows, but it doesn't last long. So basically everything ices over, then turns to slush :( I miss the snow.

A few years. Yeah, lots if fun if you enjoy dying of various heat related symptoms :p

I like it here so far :) still adjusting to the weather though. I think everyone feels that way about where they're from, while other people think it's awesome.

Nope, I was actually just thinking about that. It made me realize that I've only been to 13 different states. I've never been west of Texas (which is where I live now). I definitely wish I could travel more.

Definitely. I love Italian, so most of the things I make at home are Italian. I like trying new things though, so really, I make all kinds of stuff :) haha I enjoy baking too.

Yes, I'm in school. Currently working on my culinary arts degree at a community college. The university I wanted to go to was way to expensive. So when I finish here, I'll go there and get my bachelors as a graduate. It's cheaper that way :)

Hey I enjoy living as well, so thanks for your work :) Haha! That's not corny at all. Isn't engineering really difficult? Or is it easier because you enjoy it?

Yeah, I changed it yesterday because I was thinking about what Credetemi (I think her name is Sobriquet or something like that. I'm just used to Credetemi and I like it better.) said and wanted to test it out :P

Yeah. It was pb55020. But I've been told many times that nobody can remember it. So I'm testing this one out for a bit, and if I don't notice a difference within a month or so, then I'm gonna change it back.

Well my grandparents live about 45 minutes away and they have somewhere around 80 acres of land. Hopefully they are far enough away for a good night sky. I haven't been able to check it out yet though. But as soon as these clouds clear up, now that I have my telescope, I'm heading down.
Also no worries. My friends think I'm weird too. My friend had one of these and he made fun of me for... well he still calls me weird all the time...I don't even like that guy he's mean anyway I stared at it mesmerised by the way it refracted light (It has little air pockets on each of the ends) So I just watched the way it bent the light and shot a laser through it and just had fun for about 30 minutes by myself. People call me weird for doing stuff like that. I think watching MTV or whatever it is people watch is weird.

Let me put it this way. On the clearest of nights I might be able to see the Big Dipper. I live in the suburbs as well but there are factories all over the place that make it even worse. And there's a mall and a Walmart and a major highway all within about 2 miles of me. So between light pollution and air pollution I don't have much luck. Last month the pollution was so bad I could hardly see the full moon. I wanted to cry. (cry2)

That's so cool. I've got to know. What does your night sky look like? What can you see with the naked eye?...Oh my god this might be my version of cybersex...no pressure.

Wow. I'm the first person in my entire family to aspire to anything past high school. I can't even talk about some stuff that I love (Evolutionary biology, creation of the Universe, ect) because it directly conflicts with my parents religious beliefs.

Wow. That's just. I can't begin to explain my jealousy. Is someone else in your family interested in Astronomy?

GGAAAAHHHHHHHH I"M SO JEALOUS! It was so cloudy that day. I caught literally 2 seconds of it and I was watching the sun from 5 till sunset.

So no specific career but a career in that field is the goal. I get it. That was my original plan for physics and then someone recommended teaching and I felt like an idiot for not thinking of it before. The telescope I got is just a baby to tide me over until I get a nice one. May I ask what kind you have?

I saw you're in college. Are you studying Astronomy/Astrophysics?

ME EITHER! I just bought a telescope last week. Came in the mail today. I'm just wasting time on here until it gets dark. Astronomy and Astrophysics are more of hobbies for me though. (Hobbies in the sense of "I want to do this EVERY SINGLE DAY") but hobbies none the less.) I'm never going to have a career in that field I guess is what I'm saying. I also hope to pursue my own studies of the universe (I want to work on M-Theory) while I'm teaching. That will become a hobby for me as well.

I love talking about it. I want to be a Physics teacher/professor. A lot of people take my constant informative speech patterns as condescension but really I just like to teach people everything I know. Acquiring knowledge is something I love to do and much like a musician and his music, I want to share it.

I'm glad you're this interested in Science. The world needs more people like you.

There is no karma on amirite, so I'd have to say no. Also I discovered amirite waaaay before reddit, so I'd consider myself more of an obnoxious amirite whore. Minus the obnoxious (hopefully)
