I understand that, and by "conservative social policy" I didn't mean all conservatives and their every thought. I understand that there are moderates, and my sister is a republican who loves gay people. Unfortunately, moderates and people like my sister are underrepresented. What I do mean is that they try to block any step toward equal rights for gays, they're the same ones who fought them for women and blacks, and apparently by and large they don't appear have any ability to learn from history- because they keep doing the same crap over and over again, trying to single out some group of people to put down and say they're somehow "less than". That makes me very unhappy.

The first quote is what is known as a "joke", to those of us with a sense of humor.

I hate conservative social policy because it's prejudiced, seperatist, outdated, religiously influenced, and generally a load of ****. "All men are created equal" didn't end with "unless they're gay".
