About me.
"You know kid, you're not the type. And yet you still feel so alone, don't you?"
I'm Camille.
Let's get straight to the point. I believe in being happy. I believe in doing what makes you happy and being with who makes you happy. Yes, you're still going to have to do things in life that you don't particularly like. But if you can change it, then do so. Which is why, at the age of nineteen and the position of a sophomore in college after three semesters, I am "taking some time off" from psychology and pursuing what makes me happy instead. And that, good people, is writing. I am going to be a writer. Grades and teachers and standardized tests do not determine my intelligence or my ability to be successful in life. I determine it.
I want to be untouchable. I want to be extravagant. I want to be happy, and I am going to be all of those things and so much more. And now, on to more worthless junk about me that no one actually cares about.
Random Junk-
-19. Yeah.
-I am engaged to my best friend as of December 26, 2011.
-I'm in college (kind of).
-Majoring in psychology.
-College English classes make me give up hope of ever becoming a professional writer and also make me believe my high school English teachers lied.
-I hate writing stuff about myself.
-I rarely go to sleep before 2 in the morning.
-I have a blueish-green beta fish named Van Halen. He's pretty chill. He just swims around and junk. He also likes to play dead.
-Sadly, Van Halen died. But I got another beta fish that looks just like him so I'll ignore that for now.
-Sadly, that fish died as well. I think I will stay away from fish for a while.
-I'm 5 feet tall. Yes, I'm short. Yes, I know.
-I have a five year old quarter horse/Tennesee walker named Apollo. He is stubborn as a mule but he's super sweet and acts like a giant lap dog. As long as you don't try to make him move. He also doesn't like guys.
-I also have a cat named Thor. He was tiny. But not anymore. Now he's a little bigger. And vicious. I can pet him exactly three times before he bites.
-I randomly add stuff to this as I think of things.
-I am responsible for what I say. I am not responsible for what you understand.
-I do not fear the dark. I fear the inherent absence of light.
-Favorite book- White Fang by Jack London.
-Favorite band- Rise Against, followed closely by Shinedown.
-Favorite song- We Are Young by Fun.
-Favorite Actor- Robert Downey Jr.
-I have come to the conclusion that I really do not like mean people. They annoy me. And piss me off. Sarcasm is fine, snarky is not.
-The majority of what I say is sarcastic.
-If we get in an argument, I probably don't actually care. It's just fun to mess with people who get upset about things on the internet.
-I am quite insatiable. I believe the world will never be enough for me.
-I have really bad anxiety, especially when it comes to school and my future.
-I want to do something amazing with my life, but I have yet to figure out what.
-Words amaze me. I love and hate the feeling I get when reading certain books, where it takes me so deeply into another world. But then I feel as if this world will never be good enough.
-I have figured out the secret to creating a successful book series and turning it into a big hit. I will only give you the first step. Have writing skills. The rest is up to you to figure out.
-My mom often says that I am very quiet and don't talk much. Really, I just spend the majority of my time thinking.
-I am constantly in a state of self-reflection, and I am usually very critical about what I see.
-I enjoy classical music, especially when I am writing.
-I like happy people.
-I am not incapable of being happy. It just seems like I have to work a little harder at it.
-It slightly irritates me when people really push the fact that they are gay. I do not write out long paragraphs stating that I am straight and the reasons that led me to identify with being straight, or why I am interested in men. Your sexual orientation has nothing to do with me, so I don't really care if you are straight, gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or what have you.
-If you find a book offensive, then don't read it. If you find a movie offensive, then don't watch it. If you find a song offensive, then don't listen to it. That is the beautiful thing about it. No one is making you do it.
-If you are going to discriminate against one book or movie because it has sex and foul language in it, then do not bother reading anything by James Patterson, Nora Roberts, Lisa Gardner, or many others. Do not bother watching any movies above a PG-13 rating. You cannot choose which one's are ok by your religious standard and ignore the fact that the others contain the same material in them. The amount of "offensive" material should not matter. If you discriminate against one, discriminate against them all.
-More people need to learn the art of effectively arguing their point without resorting to cussing.
Theycallmereema is the coolest 14 year old I've ever talked to. I helped her name her fish Patrick. Unfortunantely he didn't make it. He died in the line of duty of being a fish. But yeah, she's cool. You should go talk to her. Right now. I'm not kidding. Now. 3<
