I mean just the victory of buying a book, turning a page, and bookmarking pages is the most overcoming feeling in the world.

On the contrary, Kindles are really nice for a lot of people. I use my Kindle AND read regular print books, and the battery lasts a long time even with wireless on and regularly browsing the web. Besides, the average book shouldn't take as long as a month to read. That's just my two cents.

Okay, I agree that Kindles do have their upsides, and I totally respect your opinion of them, it's just that for me nothing can beat a good print book :) I think the only way I could use a Kindle is if I went on holiday and didn't want to cart around a load of heavy books..... actually I do that all the time anyway, and the only place I go on holiday to is my dad's house where I have a bookshelf anyway.... So I guess I'd never use one. But that's just me :P x

The smell, the feeling of going into a bookshop and walking through the shelves, picking some up, having a look, having them all lined up on your bookshelf, the texture of the paper when you're actually able to TURN the page: you can't have that with a kindle. Plus paper doesn't run out of battery. Kindles suck balls, this post is so right, I wish I could Yeah You Are! it more than once. x

With the violent video games and movies it's obviously apparent that it's violent and the kids will often try to mimic the behaviors. With the nursery rhymes, it's not totally obvious. I mean, when I was a little kid, I had no idea what ring around the rosie was about.

But if you did you would try to mimic the plague? :L

I had heard that the origins of Humpty Dumpty was as a nursery rhyme. After an adult told the rhyme, they would ask the kids what Humpty was, and the answer was an egg. But that's just what I've heard.

Ummm, Humpty Dumpty doesn't actually say anything about an egg anywhere in it. It's actually about a cannon. Just FYI.
