+244 All of those statistics showing how stupid Americans are wouldn't be nearly as bad if you didn't count the southern states, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Coming from a damn yankee who moved to the South - Yes, yes you are.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wow this is such a stereotype, i bet if they took the stupidest kid from a southern state, they would still be smarter than the person who made that post.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No, I'm from the south, and some people make me want to tear my hair out.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That sounds like a personal problem, im also from the south, i grew up in Dallas, TX, and people were actually pretty smart compared to where i live now.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well I used to live up north, I moved in the middle of 6th grade to Houston, TX. I was extremely surprised to find that school was now really easy. The things they were teaching I had already learned, or they were teaching at an extremely slow pace. I even watched the kids struggle with school too.I don't know, but to me that shows a little stupidity among the children.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

when i moved to a northern state, the school was easier, because i already new all the stuff they were talking about, i think it was just around you that the people were stupid.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Maybe...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm from a southern state and in no way stupid.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

im sure that what you meant to say is either *and am in no way stupid. or *Im from a southern state and I'm not stupid. But i'm sure thats what you MEANT to say, correct?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

what she said still makes sense.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You can say things stupidly and make sense.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So if they make sense, that means they are smart enough to make sense. which means its not stupid.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

People should be able to use correct grammar....

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It is correct grammar, it maes sense, as long as it makes sense, its correct grammar.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No it's not. Things can make sense and not have correct grammar.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yea, if it makes sense, its correct grammar.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ohhh, that was low. I laughed though...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You make yourself sound unintelligent by assuming everyone from the south is uneducated or unintelligent, which is an error on your part. Sterotyping is one of the largest signs of ignorance. As I was born and raised in Texas, part of the Heart of the South, I must say that majority of the people here are intelligent and educated. Look how many major college universities we have students from the South attending each year. Think twice before assuming.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I wouldn't call Texas the heart of the South. I would think one of the states along or near the Mississippi River would better qualify.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm sorry, is a full schollarship to harvard law not smart enough for you? stupid Yankees all think they're better than us? HOUSTON, TEXAS BORN AND RAISED. so up yours, buddy.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Or how about this? I am from Tennessee and graduating with a FULL IB DIPLOMA. Can YOU do that? If you're posting stupid things like that, I HIGHLY doubt it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

some of the greatest people are from the south

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Plenty people in the north are stupid, and so are people from the south. Just because the TV tells you something doesn't mean you should listen to it. Try meeting real people before you insult us.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There are plenty of smart people in the South, but why then would Texas even consider seceding from the United States? I moved from up North to Houston, TX...and I must say I hate it here. I have heard many people talking about Texas seceding, including people on the radio on the 4th of July. People here are stuck up and think they are better than every other state. I personally think they are stupid.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Bahahahaha, maybe the person that said this was just refering to alabama... if so, i totally agree. bahaha!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

it's probably because of all the immigrants in the South.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I live in one of the wealthiest cities in the worlds. It's in the south. It's also has some of the best schools in the country.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

"It's also has"?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It was late, I was tire. No one's perfect. Calm yourself.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What city do you live in then?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

*world not worlds and "It's also has" makes no sense. You are proving the OPs point

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hahahah one of the states along the mississippi river... Are you aware that the mississippi river does in fact run many states even in the north... But I suppose they are all dumb too. You know what they say location location location... I guess I'm pretty stupid with my tulane law degree. I guess I would have picked a different school had I realized location to the Mississippi river determined intelligence.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Because stupidity isn't rampant everywhere, right?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I laughed at this because I am from the north. The south is stereotyped as "less smart" but there are probably plenty of stereotypes for the north. Stereotypes are everywhere so calm down.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm from the South... Not cool. I live in Texas, and my city is actually on Yahoo's list of "America's 10 Best Places to Grow Up". Plano, Texas baby! :) The reason for that, is mostly because of the school district... "With 7,000 faculty and staff members serving 55,000 students in this Texas community, the Plano Independent School District has achieved national recognition for its strength. The Department of Education has handed 24 of its schools National Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence awards, and 99 of its seniors were named semifinalists in the 2008 National Merit Scholarship Program." Yeah? Cool. xD
