That too! As soon as I got my own computer that didn't have Norton on it, it ran way better and I didn't have to format it once a year. I use Avast now, but my computer geek friend tells me you don't need one at all if you just watch what websites you go to and what links you click.

Being somewhat of a computer geek myself I'd recommend against going without anything. I know what you mean though about Norton. HP computers come with it, and I just got a new one a few days ago. Step one, before my favorite web browser, before my music player, uninstall Norton, lol. Now rather than run naked, though, I would suggest you get Microsoft Security Essentials, it's free and made by windows. I dare say a majority of antivirus give you viruses to ensure you keep them but Microsoft has no reason to do so, since they want you computer to run smoothly so you buy another Windows computer in the future.

*Viruses. Also, people who create viruses are not creative enough to start their own business or have tried but failed, so they make a scam so that gullible people might fall for it.
