You have got to be fucking kidding me. Very slightly awkward? Yeah, maybe. Really awkward? No. It's a complete stranger, it will last less than a few seconds. Get the fuck over it.

After working in retail and having to do that with every customer I'm so used to it now and don't feel awkward at all and just smile at them
