well, here is one for conversation: what makes life worth living?

Survival is human nature. No matter the reason behind wanting to live, people, in general, will always choose life over death. The thing that makes life worth living is that most people don't want to die because they don't know what happens in death. People do know what happens in life and if they make the most out of it then it will probably be worth it. We never know if living was worth it because we don't talk to the dead, but living is all we know.

I agree. But surviving isn't always very pleasant. The world is full of suffering, and even the lucky ones will have to work hard for their whole lives just to keep living. I would say that building a loving family, which i suppose is also naturally a "survival of the species", is the most worthwhile thing of living

Yeah, probably. And I guess even with all the suffering and whatnot living seems much better in comparison to the unknown (which could be full of even more suffering for all we know).

if all those people think life isn't worth living, what keeps them from suicide? you obviously have to have something worth living for if you are alive.
