Some people don't really want Obama's health care to fail, they just want Obama to fail. amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Okay here is the thing about Obama's health care, it really is going to fail unless every single person in America pays for it. My macroeconomics professor even said it is a stupid idea. She helped write a college economics text book so I'm pretty sure she knows what she's talking about.

?......
And there are many qualified economists that say it won't fail? What's the difference?
We won't know until it happens, it's stupid to say what will and won't happen.

A lot of "skilled" economists also say that Obama's idea of raising taxes for the top wealthiest in the US will help with the debt, when mathematically it is impossible. They could take all of their money and it would still only pay for 5 days worth of the interest alone that we have on the debt.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Does that mean that you know what you're talking about?

So why does it work in Canada? And even better in European countries? Take France for example. They took it one step further, they not only have complete health care, they will also pay for college/university education, send a nanny to your house if you have small children, and that is just a few things

And as a result, France is swimming in debt. They have a huge problem with young people finding jobs, and what good is a college degree if everyone has one? It doesn't give anybody a leg up.

(pantherfanatic);
"France is swimming in debt. They have a huge problem with young people finding jobs, " That's a problem every developed country, with or without healthcare, has. France just has it better; they even pay less per capita on healthcare than America.
And a college degree puts you in far better position than a person without one. Which I canguarantee you, not everyone will have.

You can get more than degrees at college, like me. I'm starting a welding apprenticeship at a college as soon as I graduate. And yes a degree can give you a leg up, depending on what degree you get. And as an added bonus, France is lower down the failed states list than France.

"France is lower down the failed states list than France" Wait- what?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Definitely meant to say America >.>

I love how you never reply to comments which make such a good point against you.
You either don't know shit about politics, or are just another conservatard who knows his view are wrong and laughable.

(TeaBagger.): Or maybe I don't have time to endlessly debate every person on this website. At some point, debates have to end.
How about you grow some balls and make an actual account instead of anonymously insulting me?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Quick obsevation; It's not a debate if you make one comment..... and one comment only. You had the time to reply to teabagger, yet not one of the others to made arguments towards your reasoning.
Yea, "you didn't have time". Sure.
by Anonymous12 years ago
You don't understand. "TeaBagger" replies to comments I make all the freaking time, and I think at the time I said that to him, me and him had one or two other debates going on on other posts. That's why I said that.

Canada is not the US...if you look at the different economies around the world, none of them are the same because one type of economy will not work for every nation since there are different people and they do different things and have different types of industries, different resources, etc.
by Anonymous13 years ago
True, but each economic plan can be adjusted to each specific economy so that it works
by Anonymous13 years ago
"every single person pays for it" Yep, that's called taxes
by Anonymous13 years ago
Including the homeless?
by Anonymous13 years ago
If they have jobs and make enough money
by Anonymous13 years ago
Yeah except there isn't room in hospitals and there are not enough doctors. I used to live in Canada and when my father got pneumonia, they didn't even treat him and told him to come back in 24hrs to see if any doctors were available
by Anonymous13 years ago
That doesn't happen often and it happens in America too.
I guess it's enough for me to assume America has the same problem, then?
by Anonymous13 years ago
In America, they would have stuck him on a waiting list and gotten back to him in 2-4 weeks if your lucky
