-261 Pepole only deny the fact that the world is going to end in 2012 because they don't want it to, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

.....or because people made that assumption based on religion thousands of years ago.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If that was the case they would not be saying the world will end in 2012. Religion says that no one will know when the end will be.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That is Christianity. I believe that the 2012 thing was based on a Mayan religious belief

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The Mayan calendar ended on scientific beliefs, not religious beliefs.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Alright,I'll take your word on that...I'm not an expert. But the fact remains that not all religions say no one will know when the end will be.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I should have specified 'some religions', I'll give you that.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

hey, i don't believe it either, but c'mon you know people are just scared, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm vary scared.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

hahaha

by Anonymous 13 years ago

troll

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I don't believe it because it has no factual backing. *waits for someone to reply with factual backing*

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I had a dream that squidward was the queen of England. And he said that the 2012 was legit. So you better watch out.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Fuck!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Whelp, we're boned.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Something actually is supposed to happen on that day. I don't think the world will end, but something big will happen. There is supposed to be a huge eclipse of one of the planets and certain planets will be aligned and something about statues on an island pointing directly to where you will be able to see it... Google it if you really care.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I don't care that much. However, all of the planets aligning would have almost no impact on our planet. And you should google it since it is your "fact".

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Um... Attitude not necessary sir. I heard about it from some documentary on tv. I never claimed it was a fact, I said that is one thing that is supposedly supposed to happen. I did not go into more detail because I assumed(apparently correctly) that you did not care.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm sorry. Sometimes I don't know how to say things without coming off as a dick.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

And that is when you simply say nothing at all.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well I wanted you to google it since you're the one that brought it up.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Sure, be right about everything. I really don't care.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Sorry. I got heated.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

There are at least two articles on NASA's website explaining why the world is not, in fact, going to end in 2012....

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The Mayans never took into account leap years. Therefore, with the accumulated time, the world would have ended in 2010 or earlier.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

OH NO GUYZ WE'RE ALREADY DEAD! I DIDN'T WANNA DIE A VIRGIN. I WA SO YOUNG. NO GOD WHY?!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Just the same way people don't believe they're going to die because they don't want to.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm actually surprised that no one has commented that OP put 'pepole' instead of 'people'.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I was about to... but i wanted to see if anyone else did first

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Pepole? That gets both hehe and ono.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The Mayan didn't even predict the world was going to end. The Mayan calendar marks the end of a 5,216 year old cycle which should bring the return of a Mayan god associated with war and creation. So basically it's the of one of their calendar cycles, and a beginning of another.
