It's funny how in a TV show, one of the characters will say "OH MY GOD TURN ON THE TV I HAVE TO SHOW YOU SOMETHING!" and RIGHT when they turn it on, the exact thing that they wanted the other person to see JUST begins, amirite?

They made fun of this on Arrested Development. Every time they turned on the TV to show someone something, the same commercial came on and the character would say "i'm sure it's on right after this".
