-246 America is not worth dying for, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Thousands of soldiers disagree, as do I. And I'm sure every citizen in the world feels the same about it's own country. I don't see how you could be a citizen of (any) country and not want to die for it...you may not want to be a soldier, but you should still want your country's soldiers to fight if worse came to worst and an attack was brought down upon your country.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Completely agree. Obviously if you aren't from America, you would die for it. EVERYONE has a sense of pride in their country to some extent.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I the end though, those soldiers are just fighting to come home. They are not thinking about freedom when shits going to hell around them and they are watching people die, all they are thinking about is getting home.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That may be true but they must have thought about it when they were being sworn in.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

it's nice knowing your comments guys. (:

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Umm i wouldn't die for my country. It's a shitty country can't wait to get out of it.It's Romania btw.Americans don't bother looking it up i know you never heard of it

by Anonymous 13 years ago

way to make an ass out of yourself, but i'm sure you're used to that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Sorry i don't match to your perfect standards

by Anonymous 13 years ago

no, you don't match my acceptable standard. I'm not asking you to be perfect. and again, way to make an ass out of yourself.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

How exactly did i make an ass out of myself?By saying what i think?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

saying what you think and just being plain offensive are different things. Generalizing an entire great nation, that is how you made and are continuing to make an ass out of yourself.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You've never been to Romania right?Great nation yea right

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't give a shit if I've been anywhere. It doesn't give you license to be offensive and I'm sure there are many great things there, and MANY AMERICANS are plenty educated, as we are quite an advanced nation. I don't need to have heard this in order to reply to and rate this post.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Believe me i don't give a shit if you've been anywhere either please don't take a wild guess that there are great things here just because you think they should be.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm not giving a wild guess. Stop assuming. I am plenty educated enough to know things about places, many Americans are.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Umm let's just drop it this conversation is leadin nowhere

by Anonymous 13 years ago

not really, but let's drop it anyway.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Of course I've heard of Romania! It's where Charlie went to study dragons!!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

nice

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm American and I know Romania is a country, and I can locate it on a map. A lot of Americans can. Don't be so naive and close-minded to think they can't.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm an America. I know where Romania is. I know a good bit about Romania. Might wanna pull your head out of your ass.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah same here. Fuck stereotypes.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

... For someone calling the Americans stupid, you sure have great grammar. *sarcasm*

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Depends on the situation. Dying in defense of America is worthwhile, but dying in Afganistan for the sake of American dignity (as neither Afganistan nor anyone in it poses any threat to us) is much more questionable.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm American and I've heard of Romania. It's in Eastern Europe and was created by treaty after the World Wars. It may not be that great but it's still way better then North Korea or Sudan.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm from Sudan, and since I didnt really expect you to bring up Sudan water came out of my nose because I was laughing so hard. I dont know why I was laughing, I just was....

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It and everything but if something happened, say I or someone in my family was drafted, I'd have no problem skipping out and moving to canada, england, ect

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My brother is serving in the Air Force. He's going to do his second tour in Iraq, in a few months. My husband served 13 years in the Army. They'll both tell you this country is worth dying for. They'll both tell you, that if they were to have died, it would've been worth it, to know that they fought to keep their families, and their loved ones safe. I've known many soldiers in my life. 98% of them will tell you that this country, and their families are worth dying for.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't know, I guess I've never really felt national pride. I mean, every now and then I feel patriotic when we accomplish good things to help around the world (like Haiti most recently, and the oil spill), but other than that I feel like no nation is better than any other. We're all just people. As cheesy as that sounds. :P American by the way.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The thing is that the wars in the Middle east that we are fighting now aren't to keep us safe. It's to keep the people that live over there safe.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Fuck hypocrites.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'll admit it, dying is not the 1st thing I would want to do, but if I were drafted, of course I would go. Any American with a speck of national pride would. Did I mention I'm 13?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wow. America is worth dying for. It's my country. Keep your negative opinions to yourself. Especially when thousands of good people have died for this country throughout history in order to make the freedoms you enjoy possible. Have some respect.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well now we can weed out the rednecks from the rest of America xD

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Rednecks? You're an idiot

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Unless most of you haven't noticed, only a couple of your wars have been for your freedom; Vietnam war had nothing to do with you, the war in Iraq has nothing to do with you and I'm sure lots of future wars will have nothing to do with you

by Anonymous 13 years ago

we didn't initiate these wars...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

In non of the recent cases it was self-defense unless you count searching for Osama bin Laden as a war and I would say that it was more about revenge than self-defense.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(Godyouguysarestupid): I'm sure that your opinion in the matter of national pride on a nation you're not a part of doesn't matter. The difference between you and Americans is that most of us don't spend our time focusing on how much we dislike other countries. And the people affected by September 11th would disagree that the war in Iraq has nothing to do with us. So fuck off.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What does Iraq have to do with 9/11? The terrorists weren't Iraqis... so fuck off?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

A comment that completley ridiculous doesn't even merit a response.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Okay.. I am from Romania, proud to be a romanian, and respect America. Every country has its good and bad parts, that is a fact. Sadly there are idiots everywhere... *forgot where she was going with this*
