YES. OUI. SI. I read classics more than I do new books, because they make sense to me.

i love reading books set in the past and written in the past, it's almost as good as time travel :)

when we were reading about Romeo and Juliet my class was complaining that it wont relate to them because it's so old but me and my friend were so excited because we both love Shakespeare and we were the only ones who actively participated.

I love classics and all my friends make fun of me because of it.

I do enjoy reading. However, the school makes us read the worst books. Try reading The Alchemist, Feed, and Great Expectations. I'm currently reading Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice on my iPod, and some classics are good, but others aren't. Some people just flat-out don't read

I absolutely LOVE Pride & Prejudice and Sense & Senibility.

Right now I'm on Pride & Prejudice, but it seems like a really good story so far! :D

Good grief, I love Shakespeare so much. I was in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Most fun I've EVER had with a role. That's why my username is goodfellow, I played Puck. :) I hated my obnoxious English class so much. I'm in Honors, you'd think it would be packed with nerds like me. But no, a bunch of idiotic overachievers just there for the grade who complained about EVERY DAMN BOOK WE READ. Macbeth, A Streetcar Named Desire, The Picture of Dorian Gray... all of my favorite writers. They were humiliated in that classroom. Poor Oscar Wilde, hasn't he been through enough already? Although I agreed with them about Tess of the d'Urbervilles, I htaed that fucking book.

The classics are amazing. I recommend Sherlock Holmes stories to everyone because they're short, so they're not difficult to read like some of the classics, but they're so easy to get in to and so wonderfully written, they really do capture your imagination. That said, I FREAKING HATE all Jane Austen books XD
