+170 So for my school's prom you have to have a date because they don't let you buy single tickets, so my friend wanted to drag along her friend and I was just informing her that your date isn't allowed to be a girl (if you are a girl) that shouldn't be allowed because it violates your rights, amirite?

That is totally unfair. You could definitely protest if you wanted. Your school doesn't sound very gay friendly. Maybe you should look into starting a GSA.

When I left my school, my friend wanted to invite me as her date so I could still go. But my school (christian all girls) said that it would look like they were condoning lesbianism :/

Thats too bad. Since you don't go to public school, you can't really argue that preventing you from going to the dance is not within the schools rights but you can still make a fuss about it.
