Actually the first song I learned was Louie Louie, then Smoke on the Water, then the Ironman tune.
thats the first one I learned when I was learning the guitar :)
I play bass and I can't play Smoke on The Water (I've never tried), I can play it on trombone though because we played it in band.
I think my first song on bass was American Idiot or The Office Theme.
