+520 Your diet when you were five: peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, chocolate milk, and the occasional boiled hot dog, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Go buy me beer.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

show me the money

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You're asking for an awful lot here.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm almost 12...same diet.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

NEVER admit you're 12. Just a tip to surviving the internet. People hate most 12 year old's so... from now on you're 13

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Almost 12? 11 is even younger. Sorry to brake it to you, but you still are a little kid (;

by Anonymous 13 years ago

14 and same! :P <_< I'm so glad I'm not the only one.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Woah.. That's very American.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hot dogs + Mac and cheese = GREAT COMBO!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Agreed! I have macaroni and a hot dog all the time.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I cant cook anything unless its microwavable or simple. So this is a common meal if I'm left to cook for myself. When I was little, I cut up the hot dogs and put it in the mac and cheese.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

And Grilled Cheese.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

that's gonna be my diet for college

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That was my freshman year diet lol. This year it's mostly just pasta.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's my diet during the summer.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

And Ramen Noodles. So much Ramen....

by Anonymous 13 years ago

cant forget the ramen...maybe some campells thrown in if we're feeling healthy

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I like white milk.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Potato chips in a hamburger bun.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

And potato chips with ketchup on them.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I didn't get a choice. It was the healthy stuff my mom made or nothing at all.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That sounds nasty... except for the chocolate milk I loved that stuff when I was five.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

wow i feel sorry for you people, when i was young i ate REAL food...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

When I was young that was the food I liked. (Actually that's the food I like now that I'm 19 also) And it is real food.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

uh no, not all of us were obese as children

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's what I ate and eat now and I've always been skinny.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

metabolismfail. I'm super skinny and I still eat that, but I eat other stuff now, too. Little kids' metabolisms are like the speed of light unless they have horribly crappy genes.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

This is sad. You were deprived of real food as children.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What are you talking about? That is real food. I feel sorry for the kids who were forced to eat the healthy yucky "adult food."

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's not yucky and it's not always healthy. It's just real food. You guys are talking like you never ate something that takes more than 5 minutes to make.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Of course we have. But most of the stuff that takes really long to make isn't any better (or is worse) than stuff that's easy to make, so it's a waste of time.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well that is where we disagree. I've tried instant stuff like ramen and mac and cheese, but I find it disgusting. My mom was a great cook and now I like preparing my own food . It's not a waste of time for me. It tastes better, a lot better.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

eww i didnt have "healthy food" but yes adult food... REAL food * not pb&j but garlic bread, paninis, french toasts with honey and powdered sugar, bruchetta, etc. * not mac and cheese but spaghetti with a home made marinara sauce roasted red peppers and parmesan cheese, spinach and cheese ravioli, lasagna, etc. * not ramen noodles but real chinese stir fried noodles. i never understood why restaurants always had a kids menu with bland, plain food options. Are kids not deserving of delicious foods? I lots of ethnic Indian food but thats just because im Indian...and i ate the same food as my parents, they never made me cheapo bland foods...and chocolate milk is fine but its not a LUNCH item...just a drink.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

See that's where we're different. Even now I don't like a lot of foods on the adult menu. They have too many weird ingredients in them. I like simple food that doesn't need weird herbs and spices and stuff to make it taste good.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

well then you obviously don't know what jelly, hotdogs, etc have in them..hotdogs are made from mashed up animal parts..from every part of the animal and then are rapped in a synthetic covering. jelly has so many perservatives, food colorings and things like gelatin obviously both these foods seem simple because u can just buy them from a store..but really they are not. garlic bread on the other hand has bread, butter, garlic, and herbs. French toast is just bread eggs and milk. i think mac and cheese is the only exception, but you can't just eat mac and cheese everyday?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

OK I will agree that French toast and garlic bread are good. And sure, hot dogs and jelly may not be the simplest foods in the world, but they certainly aren't the most complicated either. I guess the main thing I'm trying to say is that stuff like mac and cheese, pb and j, and yes, french toast and garlic bread, taste delicious to me, while most things that adults consider "good food" are not appetizing to me or most children I have met.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Kids are deserving of delicious foods, but many of them don't like the taste on their tongues because they're little and it's a bit overwhelming to some children when their food is hard to put in their mouth and it's complicated-tasting. Also, all of the above foods have pleasing textures to chew and most of the ones you listed don't for toddlers, because they are VERY picky about texture. Maybe you were brought up that way and just aren't a fussy kid, and your parents are very lucky, because the majority of kids are picky about food because they don't realize how long it took to prepare and that there isn't always more tucked away in the pantry for them if they want it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Don't forget the occasional McDonalds! xD

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I've never had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or macaroni and cheese soo erm no. I've never even tried peanut butter and to me jelly is like a dessert that is brightly coloured and wobbles haha

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wow. I can't imagine never eating mac and cheese or pb and j. And are you sure you're not thinking about jello?
