That makes me think of "a candle that burns twice as long burns half as bright"

Don't you think a safe and healthy life is key to happy life... After all, you are not left with grudges like that particular moment ruined up your beautiful life !!!

You need to be safe to be happy, I think. You're not going to be too happy if you, say, break your neck and are paralysed for life. Or get brain damage. Or lose a limb. Or die. Or cause harm to a loved one. Not to mention it's difficult to be happy if you feel you're in (serious) danger. But hey, everyone gets happiness from different things so maybe some people really do think that's worth it. Have fun responsibly, kids, and you'll still be around to have more fun later, resulting in a net gain of happiness! (The more you know).

The more I know... the less I care.

You can end up with a lot of those things even with being safe. I'm not going to not go into the ocean, cliff dive, sky dive, ride on roller coasters, talk to strangers, smoke pot, drink and other fun stuff just because I MIGHT break my neck or get eaten by a shark or get raped and kidnapped or fly through the air after being flung off the roller coasters and impale myself on a light post or make my lungs slightly more unhealthy.

I want to die standing directly beneath an icicle because I like the way it looks from standing directly below it.

it's also possible to be safe, happy, and have fun all in the same lifestyle. you don't need to be an idiot or endanger your life to have fun, or at least i hope you don't
