My parents would lie and tell them I was 12 until I was like 14.

Once my mom took me and a friend to a hot air balloon festival and ordered two child's tickets, and the woman said, "Oh, but children under eight are free!" My mom was going to go through with it, but I blurted out, "I'm not eight; I'm eleven!" Luckily, I hit my growth spurt and now actually look my age. :P

My mom tried to buy me a child's ticket at the movie (8 and under) Luckily the lady knew I wasn't some 3rd grader...

Well if your parents can make a child that is 13 and passes off as 12 then they might as well take advantage of it.

Maybe because they don't want to pay £22 for just the tickets at the local cinema?? I often say I don't want popcorn or drinks since it costs so damn much and I feel bad for my parents buying things for me...not much of a loss but still...

I'm 14, but I'm still "12" and I know I'm going to be until I start growing.
