Can't you pay? It's not like the guy HAS to pay. Sure, it would be nice, but you can chip in once in a while. I mean, he has something you need. Millions of them.

it wasnt once in awhile, it was the first we had hungout. and he had enough money. even the cashier pointed it out when he said 'one ticket'

Well...couldn't you have said, "I'll chip in this one time, but you owe me?" And if you have no religion and are an adult, you could've added, "Tonight, in bed."? I agree, it's a little scroogey, but he'll learn.

you don't need to be an adult to have sex. and it was quite embarassing when the cashier said 'one?' i feel it's nice to be paid for on the first date. if we were more confortable i wouldn't care because i know he would pay for me if it was needed, but first impressions matter.
