+1,025 If people want less music illegally downloaded, they shouldn't charge $1.69 per song on itunes. amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

WAIT? It's a 1.69 now. Jeez, does iTunes really think people would spend almost 2 dollars on a song. A dollar is reasonable, but 1.69 that seems like too much.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Is it really $1.69 now or did the OP just type 6 instead of 2?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's either 99 cents or $1.29 for a song, unless it's a music video.

Different countries have differnet amounts. In Australia, where I live, it costs $1.69 for a song.

Dude, I only have ~300 songs on my iTunes. That would be well over 600 bucks in songs! And I know most people have well over 1K songs on their iPods alone. Nobody in the right mind is going to spend 1$/song that they'll listen to so many times! Thank you whoever created Limewire.

You really do need to support your favorite musicians though. I don't care if you buy the latest song of the radio, but at least support your favorites. They need money to continue and make music.

Flyer, you have been arguing for the sake of these famous musicians throughout this amirite, and though they should get paid, I hope you realize that they generally don't "need" much supporting. They're already heavily overpaid.

I don't see why it should be more than 10 cents for one MP3. But I guess that's just me.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually its $1.29

(;)): Where I live (and I posted this) it's $1.69 per song (I'm Aussie).

Here's some facts: over 80 percent of all music downloaded over the internet(itunes, bit torrent, etc) in 2009 was downloaded illegally. That is a large percentage when it comes to the billions of songs downloaded...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

And the singers still get by with more than the average person makes, correction MUCH more. So whats the problem?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

not true, it's not just famous musicians that have their music illegally downloaded...
