sooo true, the Wii was such a mistake !

Well, Nintendo is still the family-friendly brand. They may be losing the hard-core gamers, but they have all the casual gamers and kids locked in. Have you ever seen a 7 year old trying to play an XBox or PS3 game? It's usually quite humorous =)... Unless they're one of those scary 7 year olds who basically never go outside and *just* play video games all day. In which case, there's a bigger problem than the game system IMO haha.

Not well usually. And the best games of those systems aren't exactly age appropriate for them, but nintendo tries to make family friendly games too. Or at least they seem to.

I agree with you, especially the age appropriate part. What I always wonder is how 7 year olds get their parents to buy them Call of Duty and GTA (ridiculous, huh?) and games like that. I barely convinced my parents to let me get CoD and don't have GTA.

If you're going by console and game sales, Nintendo is way in first place. The Wii and DS doubled the market of people playing games. The question now is will the Wii U be something that can change the minds of hardcore gamers. One thing Nintendo will always have going for it is it's franchises, though.

Each game system has their ups and downs. The playstation network was a shitty idea, The fact that you have to pay to get online on a 360 with a game you already spent 60 bucks on is ridiculous, and the Wii isn't the best in graphics. (Not that any decent gamer would actually care about the graphics).
