Why not? It works perfectly. Just like a beautiful stupid person, a masterpiece drawn on a napkin can still be appreciated, but only certain people would like to invest their time and money into it.

This would be a good analogy in reference to intelligence without beauty. I would rather have a masterpiece written on a napkin than a 3rd grade level piece of work written on stunning parchment.

I'm not sure why you are pairing beauty with intelligence, since it is very easy to have either of these qualities without the other. Your analogy is actually opposite. It should probably state "Intelligence without beauty, is like a masterpiece written on a napkin." But, though true, is not necessarily a bad thing. After all, many of the Beatles songs were written on napkins. Amirite.
