You caught a red gyarados, amirite?

I have never EVER got a shiny/unusual coloured pokemon without a trade...is there a secret or something

In HG/SS, you encounter a shiny gyarados. Otherwise, it's extremely rare in ALL games. It's a 1/8194** chance or something like that. My friend told me the odds awhile ago, I just forget.

I caught a shiny zubat once. I ran into him completely by chance. Then again, that was also the game when I got a female starter, which is also apparently extremely rare.

Getting a female starter isn't that hard, its about a 12% chance.

When I just started a new game on FireRed and was on the first route without any pokeballs, guess what was the first pokemon I found in the grass? A shiny pidgey. And NO POKEBALLS. I went into a depression for some time after that.

Unfortunately, I didn't catch the red gyrados...I killed it instead by accident. ono

I've caught a green zubat once...I raised it until it somehow became a pink crobat, lol.

I caught a shiny zubat aslo. My boxes are just full of zubats. I got rid of all my other Pokemon and spent my whole day at Mt. Moon catching Zubats.

Oh yes. I caught that thing in ruby. It was freakin difficult. And then my brother restarted the game :'(
