+854 Wearing brand name clothing shouldn't make you "better" or more "popular" than other people. Wearing a shirt sewn by your grandmother probably has better or equal quality than a shirt bought at 'Hollister' or 'Abercrombie and Fitch', amirite?

My friend's shirt that she bought two weeks ago from Hollister already has three holes in it. The dress my mom made 26 years ago is still in great condition.

maybe its bcuz u never wore the dress ur mom made u but u wore the hollister shirt every day cuz it looked so much better

by Anonymous 13 years ago

no offense

by Anonymous 13 years ago

But I did wear the dress.... >_>

by Anonymous 13 years ago

But that's a dress.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

A dress is the exact same thing as a shirt but longer.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I feel like the situations you'd wear them in would be a lot different. You can fuck around in a shirt. You're probably gonna be calm and take care in a dress.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Depends on if it's a dress meant to be fancy or if it's just a cool dress you could wear with like flip flops or something I suppose.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

True

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I hope this isn'ta response to the Abercrombie post I made?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

you know some people arent just buying it because its "popular" some stuff there is actually cute.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

jealous much :P

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What exactly is cute about something that has a little moose or a seagul on it? you could get the exact same thing without the logo at a department store unless you like spending 30 or more dollars on a tee shirt. Actually no, Im not jealous of pricks that wear those kind of clothes xD I have a job and I could totally buy an entire wardrobe from those silly stores but I choose not to. Stick that in your juice box and suck it!

Not wearing brand names doesn't make you better either.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

In England te brand 'jack wills' is the in thing, but I always wear jackwills abercrombie holster And armarni coz I like it :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I basically own nothing Hollister or Abercrombie and Fitch, and I'm ok with that. I've never seen the point in paying so much for something that isn't even very good quality and isn't any cuter than other clothes I can get for a lot cheaper.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

While the example you gave is true, and Abercrombie clothing doesnt have great quality, it doesn't apply to all brand clothing. There are some stores like Banana Republic where you are paying for the quality, and their clothes are pretty cool. But I hate people who judge others by what they wear.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I wear hollister, and a&f. Not because i think I'm cool, or because I wanna brag about how rich I am, but because I like the clothes. Is that wrong? I'd just as gladly wear something my grandmother made.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

why would you wear something your grandmother made?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

because i like it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ohhh jeez. you guys are missing the point

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Just because people don't agree with your point doesn't mean your point is being missed.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

The haters are the ones who can't afford it. Jealous? I would be too if I couldn't afford abercrombie or even hollister.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Whether or not you like the stores has nothing to do with the amount of money that you have. I can shop at stores like Hollister and A&F but i choose not to because I can get shirts of better quality at a 1/5th of the price. Why waste money on a brand name when I can get a better shirt for a cheaper price?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Wearing a shirt made by your grandma makes you ten times hotter. I mean, if you wear it -- you're an individual who's not afraid to stand out from the crowd. And it's kinda cute : )

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My grandmother makes such cool stuff from Africa. It's awesome. Much more awesome than some T-shirt that has the brand name across it in what looks like crappy stitching.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You make it sound like if you wear something from hollister you automatically get +200 popularity points or something, which in my experience it doesn't really do. I think how popular or better you are than someone has more to do with personality.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Both those brands suck...

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I don't wear stuff that has the brand name on it in big letters. I wear mostly shirts that have names of artists I listen to and random shirts that I get from 5ks, triathlons, etc.
