I think cows are cute, they're pretty chill, I like that. I think the main reason people normally don't eat dogs, is that they probably taste like shit.

Dogs are fantastic animals, make great companions to humans, and even used to have functional uses before they were downgraded to mere housepets. Cows mostly just eat and sleep, so they're only useful for the milk, meat, hide, etc.
