it's sad when toy story 3 is introduced as a movie "from the makers of up and finding nemo". I know it's technically correct...but toy story shouldn't need that sort of introduction, amirite?

Yeah it should be "From the makers of Toy Story and Toy Story 2" seeing as those were their two best movies.

I disagree. I think Pixar's 3 best movies are Toy Story 3 Wall-E Up In that order. They shouldn't advertise based on their best movie because nobody AGREES on their best movie.
