+211 Why do they call him Pooh? If he's Winnie the Pooh, shouldn't his name be Winnie and a Pooh Bear is what kind of animal he is? Amirite?

It's technically Winnie the Pooh Bear....So it is....fail. They just say what he is in his name.

Pooh is a title, as Lord Winnie is the tyrannical god-emperor of all the forest animals. If you don't show him the proper respect, you can expect a beheading.

Originally, it was Winnie ther Pooh. Ther referring to the fact that he is male.

You obviously haven't read the book -_- "Pooh" is the noise that he made to get the flys off his nose. And Winnie is apparently from a black bear called Winnipeg that AA Milne's son saw at the London Zoo and had a bear of the same name.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winnie-the-Pooh
