Why do they need 6 buttons for water at the water vending machines, amirite?

If you're honestly wondering it's so they don't have to refill it as much because if one of the "buttons" runs out you can just hit another one

But if the whole machine sells just one product, why have multiple buttons? Why not have all the water bottles be accessed by the same button?

One button per column of water bottles. If they ever wanted to reuse the machine for multiple types of drinks, they can't have everything controlled by one button. It's just how those machines are made, I guess..
