+973 Buying clothes at Walmart doesn't mean you're poor, it just means you're not stupid enough to spend $50 on a T-shirt, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I bought a swimsuit there for $18 for the bottom and the top. other stores can sell them for $30 a piece! F that!

Wal-mart clothes don't last nearly as long as designer.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah they last about half as long for 1/5 the price. Designer clothes are DEFINITELY a better deal.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

According to you they last HALF as long for ONE FIFTH the price making them indeed a MUCH BETTER deal than designer wear, if that testament is correct. How you could make the first statement and then follow it with "designer clothes are definitely better" means you aren't quite understanding your own statements.

I think you're missing the point of sarcasm.

so right...other places rip you off

Walmart clothes don't last, and they never fit right

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Totally right. I can easily get shirts that I like and fit me perfectly at walmart and for a good price. Anywhere else, I dont even like the clothes.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Thats so true. I can buy a white tee for a couple of bucks. but in hollister, just for the symbol they add like 20 bucks to the price. definitely not buying that.

I'm guessing OP is from Wisconsin or someplace like it....

by Anonymous 13 years ago

OP here, i'm from Illinois...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well, its ok to get both. Walmart shirts are cheaper but don't last that long or start fading, etc. Designer shirts are better quality and nicer but cost a lot more.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I've found a total of maybe 4 cute shirts at Walmart in my lifetime and every single one of them lost their shape or came apart after just a few washes... Talk about a waste of money! The quality and fabric used is beyond cheap. Probably made in some child laboring sweat shop.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not true. I've recently brought a jumpsuit from Urban Outfitters and I washed it only 2 times and I now have three holes! I have washed my shirts from Wal-mart more than 2 times and they are still intact (same washer). It sucks because I really liked my jumpsuit and I don't know how to sew. :(

by Anonymous 13 years ago

While the price is low the quality sucks. There shirts fall apart after you wear them a few times. I would rather spend a little more money to get better quality and something that will last. Quality > Quantity

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i've had some shirts from walmart that i've been wearing for five years...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I've never had a problem with any of their clothes. They never fell apart for me and I actually like some of their shirts (their jeans are kinda plain but they aren't horrible). And while quality over quantity is normally true I would still rather get 5 shirts even if they don't last that long instead of 1 bland shirt with a logo that lasts a little longer for the 50 dollars.

There is some middle ground between Wal Mart and designer. Yes, designer clothes are way over priced, and yes, Wal Mart is very cheap quality. But you CAN buy something for cheap that is good quality and Wal Mart is definately not the place.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, you're just stupid enough to buy a seven dollar t-shirt made by a Cambodian four-year-old in a sweat shop.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I agreed about the not spending $500 for a shirt. There's many places that sell better quality clothes for good prices, heck, you can probably pick up that $500 shirt for $20 at T. J. Maxx!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There's actually way better places than walmart for the same money/ cheaper. Wet Seal always has great sales, if you know how to shop you can get good quality t-shirts for $5 and under.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If you want quality for a great price, forever 21 and even Target are a good way to go! :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well the designer T-Shirts don't cost anywhere near as much to make as they charge you. They just charge you 3 times more than they need to because they know there are idiots who are going to spend 200 dollars on an outfit. Wal-mart shirts give you what you pay for. So yes, getting what we paid for makes us idiots.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You can buy cheap clothing elsewhere at places like Kohls and whatnot....I just hate walmart, they are just MILKING the bad economy while other stored are getting fucked by them

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Walmart sucks.

I found a few cute and basic tops there. Nothing with a pattern, just light summer shirts that I add to the delicate cycle. Honestly I don't see anything wrong with getting a couple pieces there for the hot sweaty months. If it looks cute why not?
