Place where my dad worked would let everyone bring their kids in for educational activities and free technology. That's way better than that one teacher who brings their kid to class to sit at their desk all day.

Actually, my parents told me that there was a bring your child to work day.. Unfortunately, it was in the middle of the school year, so no one brought their kids :P

There was a day back in grade ten that the school set aside as "Take your kid to work day'', it actually counted as part of your grade in your civics/careers course.

I went to that with my dad when I was 6. He's a lineman, so I went a lot of places and was doing stuff. Also, since he had a crew, there were other little kids to play with. Too bad that was the last year his work did that... :(

The hospital where my mom works has a program for elementary school kids on Take Your Child To Work Day. A bunch of different docotrs and paramedics would come in and explain what they did. It sucked.
