+586 When reading a book, you really have to read over each paragraph, sometimes each sentence about 5 times before you fully understand what it's saying....you're too busy thinking about dinner, or the what to wear tomorrow, or what time the new interesting looking show premiers tonight, etc. amirite?

Didn't read this because I don't like when posts are 3 lines or longer.

You didn't have time to read the post, but you had time to comment on it? How does that work?

I understand occasionally stopping to reread a sentence, but five times?! Were you not taught to read until recently or something? When I read a good book, I can tune out everything around me and push away stray throughts to enjoy the story.

Are you kidding me? Why is this vote so positive? I thought people on this site were readers. I could understand if it said textbook or something, but the way it's worded seems to imply reading for fun.

Not unless I'm unusually tired. How does OP manage to read anything?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I had to do that for this post.

OP has ADD :) Reading for enjoyment is way less of a hassle....the post was directed to reading a book that is assigned and not picked out to read based on interest.
