Using a double negative doesn't make a postive. Using a double negative makes you stupid, amirite?

There are plenty of instances where use of a double negative make sense. It doesn't "make you stupid".

Is this a math insult?
by Anonymous13 years ago
It's not not a grammar thing.

I find them very useful in math.

Yes, you're right. Double negatives are very useful. Maybe the OP hasn't gotten to that level of math yet.

OP is a dumbass.

A double negative (not in mathematical terms) is a type of logical fallacy. They're usually complex questions used to throw someone off. Ex: "Have you given up cheating on tests?"
by Anonymous13 years ago
It's not a logical fallacy. There are legitimate uses for them.
