Is this about twilight?

It's not really just about twilight, there are a lot of people saying they hate twilight who have never read it, but there's the same issue with a lot of other books and movies@338496 (Djwm12):

That is the only reason I read Twilight. I gave up on Breaking Dawn because I felt my IQ dropping.

I remember someone telling me they hated the Harry Potter series. I asked them if they tried reading it, and they said "I started reading the first chapter and I got bored!" No.

the first chapter of the first book is kinda hard to get through, but once you get to after harry's a baby it takes off.

yeah. and then the books start getting better, let alone the chapters. People just have to give it a chance. I gave Twilight a chance and finished all four books. Sure I didn't like the series, but I still gave it a chance.

I gave up halfway through twilight about a year before it became popular, and if i can't read it when its not popular, I'm not gonna read it just cuz it is.

I have friends who've read twilight, and then told me the story, and I KNOW it's stupid. Not only stupid, but actually kind of dangerous when it's read by impressionable young girls. I mean, the main character nearly KILLS herself over a guy, among other things. So I don't just think twilight is lame to make myself feel superior, I also think it's important for readers who enjoy the series unironically to know that what the books describe is far from healthy.

Anna Karenina is a great novel, and its main character throws herself under a train because her heart is broken. Good books don't have to have good role models. They have to make you feel something. I hate Twilight for other reasons. Also, this post probably wasn't about Twilight so just stop.
