+389 Yeah, it's good to give teens time to learn how to drive. But making them wait a whole year after getting their permit to get their license is overrated. amirite?

where are you that you have to wait an entire year? we only have to wait 6 months in wisconsin.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Florida.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

same in CT 6 months

by Anonymous 13 years ago

NJ too... and i think NY

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, same thing in Ohio.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah 6 months in california.

Not really. Driving is probably one of the most dangerous things that you will do every day. I don't want to be on the road with someone who has their license but has little experience driving. Trust me I just my license a year and a half and thought I was the shit at driving but once you get out there you realize that not you're not, no matter how much experience you think you have.

* got my

by Anonymous 13 years ago

uhm have you seen the people that drive..?! no one can drive for shit. the extra practice will do them good

This post fails -.-

by Anonymous 13 years ago

it's like this in Virginia too

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Its like that now in Australia too. The laws changed this year, but luckily I was born early enough to not have the law apply to me. But yeah, so many people can't drive!

I live in New Hampshire and you don't even need a permit... you can just start driving when you're 15 1/2 without anything and get your license when you're 16

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I have to wait three years for my full licence...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

In South Carolina you can get your permit at fifteen then get your restricted six months later, but you have to be seventeen to get a full license.

In NY, I think they just changed it to waiting 6 months. Which I don't get. Most parents won't drive with their kids for extra time. They just do the required time and move on. And driving itself isn't dangerous. Anticipating what others will do, animals, the weather, etc. is dangerous.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Driving isn't dangerous? What kind of world do you live in?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Driving is actually very simple. Not being an idiot and watching what other idiots do is the dangerous part.

Here in Texas you can get your permit at 15, but you have to wait until you're 16 to get your license, or 6 months after you get your permit. If you're birthday is closer than 6 months after you get the permit you still have to wait the 6 months. Does that make sense? But I've been driving for almost a year and I definitely don't feel like I know it all yet, I think the more practice the better.
