+507 It would be kind of nice if the page numbers on amirite went the opposite way, so that the oldest posts were on page 1, so you would be able to easily keep track of what page you left off on, amirite?

That wouldn't work cause then the older pages would just move from page say 100 to 101.. within a day page 100 would actually be on page 107 it works the same way..

No, like the first post would be at the top of page 1, and the newest would be at the bottom of page, say, 100 (or whatever.) The oldest posts wouldn't be going anywhere or moving, because we'd be adding to the number of pages.

The newest posts would never be seen

OP is saying when you go to the homepage you'll still see the newest posts, it will just say they're on pg 100 instead of pg 1

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That would be an interesting way of doing it...

OMFG cdaws and danieljames,IS IT REALLY THAT HARD TO UNDERSTAND?the first posts are on page 1.as new posts are being added, more pages are being added to put them on.

assuming that you start on the newest page

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What I do is I start with the newest post, and I read until I come across one that I've read.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, that's what I do too, but it'd still be nice because there was hundreds of pages of posts before I joined and it's hard reading all that when you don't know which page number to go to because it keeps changing.
