I hate this arguement. Someone will always 'have it worse.' That doesn't mean whatever you're going thru at the time isn't hard or bad. I was in a bad car wreck, have a shit load of back problems still, 2 years later. The other day this bitch tried to say 'well at least you can walk and stuff.' Uh, fuck you. Now, I do agree that 'mommy won't pay my bill anymore wahhhhh woe is me.' Etc bullshit is...bullshit. But still. Everyone has the right to be upset every now and then.

It may not be the worst thing that *could* happen to them, but it's always possible that it's the worst thing that ever *has* happened to them, and they don't know how to cope... I know that would make them spoiled, if the worst problem they've ever had to deal with was lack of an iPhone, but that's kinda their parents' fault for making their life be flawless, giving them whatever they want all the time, and ensuring they have no problems, and therefore no ability to cope with any problems... Not to mention, as someone else said, it's a bit unreasonable to expect someone to stop being upset about something that to them is a huge thing, just because someone somewhere has it worse. If they started saying that not having an iPhone or whatever *was* worse than someone who lived in poverty etc, then you'd have a great argument.

I agree that compared to the problems of kids in other countries that yeah we have it easy. I mean you know we do when our only issue is not being able to change the tv channel without our arms getting cold. So yeah in some ways we need to stop bitching. But if its a serious problem dont tell them other people have it worse, we all know someone has it worse but thats not what we need when we're going through a rough time. Sometimes you just need to vent.
