I love my dad, and the idea of calling anybody other than my father "daddy" is just gross to me, unless maybe you didn't have a father figure growing up =/

When we have pep rallies, my principal asks 'Who's your daddy?!' We're supposed to replay with his name....wtf

Hahaha that's so awkward! About the pep rally and ya I love my dad as well. I could never call my significant other it :/

Then if a girl call God "Father" we have to start raking off our own hairs?
by Anonymous10 years ago
Doesn't the gay community refer to one person as "daddy?"
by Anonymous10 years ago
Words can have multiple meanings, you know. My dad refers to my mom as 'mamma' sometimes. Is he comparing her to his own mother? No. Are those who refer to their significant other as 'daddy' comparing them to their own fathers? Maybe Freud would agree, but it's most likely that it's just a cute little nickname that could go in the same place as 'honey' or 'sugar'.

it sounds strange to people who aren't used to it
