I think cats have bipolar disorder or schizophrenia or something. They cuddle up to you, and you pet and play with them, and next thing you know you're in the ER because they tried to remove the skin on your hand with their claws, amirite?

Bipolar disorder, that's what I think too. Schizophrenia includes (but is not limited to) not being able to discern between reality and fantasy. Hallucinations and delusions are examples of symptoms. The assumption that schizophrenic have a split personality is incorrect. I'm no certified psychologist, though, just a mere student, so I'll gladly take any and all corrections as a learning possibility. ( ' . ,' ) Ah, but cats and psychology... I wonder if there's a thing as practised animal psychology?
