+417 It's ridiculos that when you reach high school teachers expect you to be more responsible, mature, and grown-up; but you still have to ask permission to use the restroom. amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

In 90% of my classes, we don't have to ask. It's probably because we can spell ridiculous.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm calling that one an honest typo.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It probably was. At least they didn't put an e in it.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

responsible mature and grown up people would go in between classes/at lunch...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

1) We probably didn't have to go at lunch 2) There's not enough time between classes for a lot of people

by Anonymous 12 years ago

How is there not enough time? There's like 5 minutes...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

My school is rather large. I can barely get to class in the five minutes we're given except for between fifth and sixth period.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well, if you can just leave whenever you want, that wouldn't be good...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

For most of my classes, people are asked not to leave when a teacher is giving directions or something really important unless it's an emergency.

I have 4 minutes, I have to cross a street to go to English, cross a field to go to the portables for French, and criss cross all over the school to get to the next class. I usually have to start running when the sweep music starts playing because I'm still like 5o ft away from my classroom.

My school has about four different buildings that have classes in them, and most of the time you have to go from the top floor of a building (with death stairs. Three years, and I still haven't gotten used to them) on one side of campus to another building on a huge hill on the other side of the campus. I have to run like hell to make it within five minutes.

i have a really big school and we have 7 minuets yet i never make it

by Anonymous 12 years ago

My school gives you 3 minutes, to stop at your locker and use the bathroom. It's pretty stupid.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

In my school, we don't have to ask anymore.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I think it's so the teachers know where you have gone. It's just manners to ask to be excused, I guess you aren't quite grown up yet.

Responsibilities without privileges. That's what being a teenager is all about.

In my school we have to ask to go to the restroom, get a pass signed by the teacher, go to these teachers sitting outside the restroom, have them sign our pass, record the time we go in and get out, have one of those teachers sign our pass, go back to class and give our teacher the pass. All because some idiot wrote a fake bomb threat in one of the bathrooms.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That would suck. Usually in my classes, you can just get up and walk out the door and no one even cares.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

mine too.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Hmmm. Depends on which teachers you have in my old high school. Some of them you weren't allowed out of the room even if you were bleeding out the ears(Trust me on this one) and screaming in pain(Then you were given a one-time warning of expelling you from the class) then others you could walk out while the teacher was giving a speech and they wouldn't care since it's your education and your job to make sure you get it.
