+1,000 In the fairly odd parents, Timmy has a poor, white kid friend (Chester) and also a filthy rich, genius black kid friend (AJ). But if Chester and AJ were reversed, then the show would be racist, amirite?

is there a white stereotype? This post made me wonder. (btw, i don't think it'd be racist and i'd watch it anyway)

there's the rich privledged white kid sterotype

i fucking miss that show :( it was fucking awesome!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's kind of racist anyway, because they basically portray Chester as white trash.

White trash pride! :D

You can't really have a white trash black kid though... thats why chester is white =D if aj was white in the first place it wouldn't make that much of a difference.

Is it me or is it that no matter what kind of character they put into a TV show we would find a way to put it into a stereotype.

A.J wasn't rich, he was just really smart

by Anonymous 13 years ago

have you ever seen his house???

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah I have, but if he was filthy rich he woulda been hanging out with Tad and Chad. I'm pretty sure he was just upper middle class.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

even though he is filthy rich dosnt mean that he have to be a jerk

by Anonymous 12 years ago

True, but he got mad fun of for being poor just as much as Timmy and Chester. And in the episodes I saw, his parents didn't know he had all that stuff in his room.

No, it wouldn't be racist, and it wouldn't really make sense. I mean, Chester is white-trash and lives in a trailer park, which is a stereo-type. There isn't really "black-trash". I think the show makes sense! Well, except for the part with the fairies...
