Doctors shouldn't say "take care" to a patient after an appointment, because if every patient took that to heart, doctors wouldn't have any patients, amirite?

Unless the disease was inevitable, like a sudden tumor. You can't control that.

If that were true, then the doctors also wouldn't have any business or make any money.

@um, why am I the only one who doesn't get this?

Doctors are meant to take care of people, and if they said "take care" and their patient actually listened to them, spread the word, etc doctors wouldn't have any patients because all of the people who listened to that particular doctor would be taking care of themselves.
