+317 America's belief: "Mexicans should be separated because they steal our jobs and money and now we're poor." That's what Hitler said, and he started the Holocaust. amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No. Illegal immigrants. I'm all for hardworking Americans [once you become a citizen, in my eyes, you are American] If you're illegal, GTFO. THEY are stealing our jobs. Mexicans who come here, get their green cards, and get jobs have my respect.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

YES!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ok go work in the fields picking crops for 14 hours a day. Oh you don't want to? THEN SHUT THE FUCK UP.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No one "wants" to. And they can work AS CITIZENS. Becoming a citizen doesn't mean they're immediately unable to find work.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You obviously don't know how hard it is to become a citizen.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm not saying it's easy. I'm saying that if you want to enjoy the opportunities in this nation, put the effort in to become a citizen. If you want the job [or just the opportunities] but don't want to do it legally, leave. And before people say "no one will take the jobs the illegals do", think again. Many people don't want to depend on the government and would take the job in a heartbeat.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Lets go back to the reason immigrants come here illegally in the first place. If you're so poor that you're barely surviving in your country and you know that someone will give you a decent paying job in America, of course you will go there. It's breaking the law, but anything is better than staying in a country with no opportunity. I'm not saying that they aren't doing a bad thing, but it's not hard to see why they do it. Plus, they only play a part in the problem. The people in America that employ them because it's cheaper should be criticized just as much. I don't believe that many people would take the job in a heartbeat. it's hard, backbreaking work that not many people can handle.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The employers are also at fault, but it's not like they threatened the workers at gunpoint. And law-breakers should be punished. This is an extreme example, but if someone drove drunk and killed your family pet, you would want them punished, right? Like I said, that's an extreme example, but it's still breaking the law. Those illegals are taking money out of the system. I do pity them, but if they want to get the opportunities, they should do it LEGALLY. Immigrants in the 1800s, who dealt with famine, war, and unfair persecutions had difficulties assimilating. In fact, with fewer restrictions, they dealt with the same amount of [if not more] criticism and violence. However, they became citizens. They learned the language. Sometimes, they didn't eat for days at a time. And isn't being a citizen rewarding? You get to vote. You get a say in the government, and you get so many rights and freedoms. I DON'T know what the test is like, but it'll be worth it in the end

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The opportunities of this nation? The opportunities are a joke. You get to pay taxes! Oh sweet! And as far as getting a say in the government? Ya, right. Sure, potential nominees talk a great game, but once they get into office they show their true colors. All politicians are corrupted in some way.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You're looking at the most popular ones. We also get free religion, speech, association, etc. We're very privileged.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Like above, illegal immigrants. Not just Mexicans. There's illegal immigrants from tons of countries. Just most commonly Mexicans in California, New Mexico, Arizona and other states in that area. Again, like above said, if you are illegal, you have NO right to be here. You aren't paying taxes, and taking jobs that CITIZENS should have. Even if you are trying to escape what Mexico has become, you should do it the right way. There are organizations that help incoming new citizens.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You took the words right out of my mouth.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So I suppose you'd like a job picking crops for 14 hours a day?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

And what about Arizona's proposed (annnnnd failed) right to investigate Mexicans without cause? Aside from that, whatever happened to American being the "Land of Opportunity". There isn't much opportunity when you not only have to struggle your way into being legal, but are assaulted with taxes once you're considered a "citizen".

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Exactly. Who are you to refuse a woman and child's second chance at life, simply because in their rush to get out of hellish 'ole Mehico, they couldn't get a green card? On another note, Mexicans are getting your jobs because you're fat and demanding. They do a better job than you, and they deserve the money more. You want your job so you can afford you flat screen TV. Pablo, to the left, needs the job so he can stay in America and out of the drug-cartel infested city here he lives.

I'm sorry.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's okay. We all make mistakes.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i love how you've probably started so many other fights on this website, you cant keep track of all of the people you've insulted

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh deary you're following me? How sweet. Let's exchange phone numbers. I remember you. Someone called you horse-face. But I'm not sure what the argument was about. Where you the one bitching about periods? Yes, I think so. PS. It's mighty ballsy of you to post anonymously.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

wait what.? no. wrong person dude. see i told you!!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Fine, I'll admit it. I love to start fights. People on the internet just get so riled up over things. But you're still a stupid anonymous poster trying to make me feel like a loser.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yeah, i like starting fights too. but whatever . stupid is as stupid does:p

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i personally don't care what country you're from, if you work hard you deserve the money you make. no one is "taking away" jobs, maybe if you work harder you may have got the job(:

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No one should be persecuted but the Jews were German citizens. That's completely different. And America doesn't want to separate Mexicans. It wants to stop illegal immigrants from escaping taxes and living in the U.S. illegally.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So, because they were citizens, it was different? So, if I get harassed by an American, and an American gets harassed by another American, the latter is the only harassment that matters?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, actually, I think it was different. I don't think anyone should be harassed, and never did I say that I condoned the harassment of anyone. I said that comparing the rights of a citizen in that citizen's country and the rights of an illegal immigrant in that country does not make sense. A citizen does have different legal rights than an illegal immigrant.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I shit you not, when i say this is probably one of the worst analogies I've ever heard.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

America's belief? Excuse you, but I do not believe that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Two things: firstly, COMPLETELY different scenarios. The US is trying to remove ILLEGAL immigrants because they do the same work for a lower price, creating an unfairness in the labor market and lowering the nation's GDP per capita. Secondly, it's not America's point of view, it's the US's point of view. America refers to the entire American continent, from southerrnmost Chile to northernmost Canada. Brazilians, Venezuelans, Cubans: they're American too.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

United States of AMERICA. It's perfectly acceptable to refer to the US as America.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I apologize. :)

Most jobs require citizenship. Agree or disagree: everybody needs our grass cut right? Everybody needs that wall repainted right? No one wants to do it right? That's the jobs they are doing, the jobs we don't want to do, but have to be done. They are letting the things get done we don't want to do so we can move on with our business pursuits. Its a win win, no one wants those jobs, those are the jobs that they are stealing from nobody. It completes our cycle and only benefits our economy.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You have a point, but what about all the US citizens that lost jobs to illegal labor? Besides overcrowding cities, illegal immigration removes jobs from people who might be working, and thus that counts towards tge unemployment rate. Since illegal immigrants are not citizens, they don't count when it comes to the emploument rate. Thus, it's better for the government to have "home-made" workers who pay taxes and all that. Otherwise, we'd just succumb to anarchy all of a sudden, with illegal immigrants wanting to become politicians or something. A state, in order to be sovereign, needs the support from its citizens, and in order to have autonomy it needs its citizens' trust. Illegal immigrants not only do not count as citizens, but remove jobs from US citizens. Each less job is one more person unsatisfied with the government.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not ALL americans. Also, it's illegal immagrants, if they are here legally people are (normally) fine with it. Also, we aren't blaming the mexicans for everything, while hiler blamed jewish people for pretty much everything.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes, BC little white boy wants to work the fields, clean up after pampered rich people, and work in deadend jobs with the same pay for years. Yes, BC those are the jobs, we as citizens, keep wanting. Darn.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

When I hear this it always pisses me off. People complaining about immigrants - illegal or not - taking the jobs away. What? Are they out becoming doctors and lawyers? No. They're grabbing and taking the job that a lot - not all - Americans think are below them. Working in fields, and hell, even at Subway. They're fufilling the job demand that we ourselves don't want to fill.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Who are to to say what America believes? I think immigrants, legal or not, are great because they take shitty jobs AND are more than happy to have them. Just the other week my family had a carpet installed and I can't remember exactly but I think the company we used sent us men from Venezuela, and they did a great job in like 2 hours. Everybody complaining about illegal immigrants wouldn't think twice about doing some of the things the immigrants do, such as working 14 hour days in the field for below minimum wage.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They did a social experiment a few months back, in California. The hosted a job fair to unemployed, predominately white citizens, offering them jobs working in agriculture. They paid $14 an hour and guaranteed at least 40 hours per week. Of the 300 people offered jobs, 2 showed up to work. You are so right, those damn Mexicans are just taking all the jobs from us! Jobs lazy ass white people find beneath them, and would rather take money from the government than work.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The US's economy is crap right now, I think we can all agree on that. So some of the actual CITIZENS need the jobs that no one wants to manage to pay bills. I think most people are fine with Mexicans but illegal makes it different.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wow. Getting your papers is extremely complicated. My parents have put their applications for papers since they moved into the US (15 years ago) and so far nothing has changed with their process. I was born in America so I have my papers and my family encourages me to take every advantage I can get. My brother tried to get papers and was denied for some reason so the best job he can get is at Costcos. If you say if they are LEGALLY here who are you to consider who's legal? Native Americans technically should be the legal ones here

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Mexicans, some of my best friends are Mexican. But when the illegal immigrants, who most of the time come from Mexico, come to the US, then that is bad. And if you say "it's to get away from drug-lord infested Mexico", then why not try to help clean Mexico up so they won't come over here?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

so y'all rather have them stay in Mexico, join a a mafia, get drugs smuggled to the USA, sell them, get y'all people killed on some fight, get back to Mexico and do it all over again?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think it's pretty evident that i'm right....
